As a butterfly is Born as Caterpillar Dies

As a Butterfly is Born a Caterpillar Dies from Theresa Chaze on Vimeo.

Just as a snake sheds its skin, we must shed our past over and over again.
...Gautama Buddha
Every soul has a purpose.
Every soul has lessons to learn.
Every soul is both a teacher and a student.
As a Butterfly is Born a Caterpillar Dies gives courage to those, who are going through life's transitions and challenges. How we choose to react will open or close doors. But not always in the ways we expect. Even when we chose to make the changes, the excitement intertwines with apprehension as we walk through the threshold into unknown. Change is inevitable. How we chose to face determines our next step in life.
As a butterfly is Born as Caterpillar Dies is available on Amazon as Kindle and in paperback. It is also found on the author's website as a PDF file.

How to find the courage to face life's challenges

From childhood through the end of life, change is inevitable. How we choose to react will open or close doors. But not always in the ways we expect or want. Even when we chose to make the changes, the excitement intertwines with apprehension as we walk through the threshold into unknown. Some people we meet will help and support you. Some will challenge you. But each of them will play an important role in helping you learn and grow. Chose to have the courage to believe in yourself and the tomorrows as they appear before you. When you make that conscious choice, who and what you need will appear in your life to help you meet your challenges and achieve your dreams.

You are here at this perfect time and the perfect place for the perfect reason. When you listen to your heart and ignore your fears you will see the path before you and be able to understand the challenges in your life.

The PDF and link to Amazon are available on the website Click here to be taken to the site.

Imprisoned in her family's home, the spirit of a murdered child waits for her parents to free her. But they have reincarnated as has her killer. Randi must bring them back together, so that they can forgive themselves and make amends. If she succeeds, they will all heal and she will be freed to also reincarnate. Do you feel alone?

If you are feeling isolated and powerless, you are not alone. Many feel as you do.

During these challenging times when fear and self-doubt abound, hope fades. As it becomes a far off memory, it's easy to get lost in the despair. It's easy to give up.

Sometimes it seems simpler to go with the flow and hope for the best. That path may seem easier, but it rarely leads us where we need and want to go. In order to go forward, we must go back to find those pieces of ourselves that believed we were worthy of love and respect. It's only by reclaiming those aspects of ourselves that we are able to understand the reasons behind the events in our lives. The understanding leads to healing, which empowers us to take back control over our own lives. God saw a Butterfly helps those, who seek to understand the challenges of their lives. It is never too late to be forgiven or to forgive.

God saw a Butterfly is available as an Amazon Kindle and as a PDF on the author's website. Proceeds will be used to fund the TV series, Horses and Heroes. Buying the PDF gives more support toward the production costs.

Horses and Heroes is a Reality TV series, which combines the highly effective Peer Support Therapy with Equine Therapy. Unlike most in the genre, it will focus on healing and positive growth rather than endorsing bad behavior. Each season will bring together the veterans from WWII to the current conflicts. They will be sharing their challenges and supporting each other as they find new solutions to their physical and emotional challenges. They know the talk, because they have walked the walk. They see the dodges and will be able to call each other on them. Sparks may fly. Tempers may flare, especially when they force each other to face the ghosts. But will also be laughter and fun as they rebuild the comradery, which kept them safe and strong. The snarkiness and practical jokes between the branches don't simply end. There is always room for just one more. When it airs, it will reach into the homes of the veterans, who need to hear that they are not alone and give them the information as well as the permission to also heal. They will help each other find their way back to the world. Veterans can’t go back and make a brand new start; but they can start from now and make a brand new end.

God Saw a Butterfly: A transformational parable,

Every soul has a purpose.
Every soul has lessons to learn.
Every soul is both a teach and student.

God Saw a Butterfly is a transformational parable of how one soul awakens and learns her destiny.

Shylon awakens in her egg. Alone and frightened, she cries. Mother comes to her and calms her fears. Yet, the comfort remains short lived as her fears and guilt force her to doubt herself and those who love her. Each step of the way, she is drawn closer to the truth of her soul. If she finds the patterns of her past and reclaims her ability to love, she will become an Divine messenger, who helps others ascend. If she fails, her anger and guilt will lead her to the one place God cannot go.

Many people are suspicious of funding campaigns. They have received so many requests from projects that never get produced so they receive nothing for their donation. By buying God Saw a Butterfly not only will you get an amazing story to read, but you will also support our efforts to produce a TV series that will help many veterans. Everyone wins. Those who buy off the website will receive the PDF file of God Saw a Butterfly long with another ebook of your choice.

Please go to the website to purchase  God Saw a Butterfly  and learn more about Horses and Heroes by clicking here.

I am What I Believe

"I am" are two of the most powerful words we can use. They declare to the universe who we are as a person, as a soul, and determine the effect we will have as we interact with others. More than a simple adjective, the words that follow define how we see are selves and thereby sets the pattern for how others will both see and treat us.

I am beautiful as opposed to I am fat ignites the beauty within and allows it to shine. True beauty doesn't come from what we look like, the clothes we wear, the car we drive, or any of our other possessions. It comes from within. Marilyn Monroe is still considered one of the sexist and most beautiful women in the world, yet she frequently wore a size 14. She could turn her "sexist" on and off by just changing her perception of herself. When she wanted alone time, she became Barbara Jean and she was anonymous in a crowd. However, when she became Marilyn she could turn on pilots flying at ten thousand feet. It was all a matter of attitude and perception. Other people did not have the power to create the change. Marilyn was the only one who could defined herself. It was this definition that others saw.

In my own life, there was a schism between what I believed and what I thought. I couldn't understand why there was such a difference between the image I saw in the mirror and the one that manifested in photographs. The woman I saw in the mirror was beautiful and happy. In pictures, I looked like an old sourpuss. The mirror reflected who I am. The pictures revealed what I thought of myself. Like so many I could Photoshop and change the picture. But it would not change how I saw myself. I'm the only one who can make the image in the mirror truly real by believing that I am beautiful--which I am.

Beauty is only the most obvious manifestation of the power we have within us. No one else can give or take away our ability to define ourselves. It is something we do every moment of every day whether not we believe we have the power to do so. Other people merely a reflect back the image we ourselves have created.
In reality, we create what we believe. The only question is how we will use this ability. That is the difference between successful people and those who see themselves as victims. Those who flourish firmly know life is full of challenges that they are more than capable of successfully meeting. They have the confidence to believe that they control their destiny. They've grown their roots deep into that knowledge. When challenges blow through their lives like the mighty oak they have the power to stand fast and tall, because they have well rooted their lives in their own positive support system.

Victims, on the other hand, believe that life is something that happens to them. They see themselves as powerless. Instead of a tree they see themselves as leaves in the wind being blown about by the whims of others, fate, or the Divine. Like leaves on a tree, when they are attached to others they appear alive, strong, and vibrant. But as with breaking the connection between the leaf and the tree causes the leaf to wither and dry, those people, whose confidence comes from others loose their vitality and power.
They become fearful, angry, and resentful when they are separated from what they thought was their support system. They fight to reestablish the connection with the original or with a new support system. Until they reconnect they will be fearful, angry, and resentful, because they feel powerless. If however, they changed their perspective from the leaf to an acorn, they could grow their own roots and become a tree instead of being just a leaf. In doing so, they recreate their lives and manifest more positive end results.

This does not mean that we must stand alone. A grove of oaks with their roots intertwined is more powerful than solitary tree. But a support system is only as powerful as its weakest member. It is this reason that strong and confident people reach out to one another. They know that by working together and sharing their resources they are more able to successfully achieve their goals. It's not what you have that is important; it is what you believe about yourself that will attract like minds. Whether an acorn or a tall tree, it is your positive energy--your confidence, your surety, your innovation, your belief in yourself that will attract who and what you need to be successful.

A leaf is not a tree, no matter how many times it claims to be so. The next breeze proves who we are. A tree will trust in it's roots. An acorn will dig them deeper. A leaf will allow itself to be blown away. Just like no one else can define us, we cannot define others. This power cannot be taught or given. It is grown from within. It is the light that only shines from the inside out. It is the passion that ignites when we change the core beliefs about ourselves. Every moment of every day we decide to be an acorn or a leaf. It is never too late to become an acorn. It is never to late to believe in yourself. All it takes is saying, "I am ready".

The Eagle Cried

The Eagle Cried…
Rick Turton
Viet Nam
1970-1971

The acrid smell of cordite
Still hovered in the air.
No breeze to wash away
The scent of Satan’s hair.

The Medivac’s are fading now,
Their cabins filled with dead.
So many grisly pictures
Are surging through my head

Another hill’s been taken
The earth all charred and black
We all know what’s coming;
Tomorrow…”Give it back!”

The Eagle cries from barren trees
His tears, he cannot hide.
Where once a proud, young soldier stood
My Warrior Brother, died

The scorched ground that surrounds me;
Am I in Dante’s Hell?
This skirmish now is over
We saw them as they fell.

My Warrior Brother, Donny,
Died that gruesome day.
He took the bullets meant for me
With his final words did say,

“Tell Mom and Sis I loved them!
Please! Don’t let me down!”
I promised I would tell them
A promise I’d soon drown.

The Eagle cried that tragic day,
Back in Sixty-Eight.
A promise made…un-kept,
To my Warrior mate.

One thing that I’m sure of,
A thing that gives no rest.
The hounds of Hell still battle
Deep within my chest.

A bottle’d been my address
For forty years or more.
I’d take ‘most any drug,
I couldn’t find the door.

Somewhere there’s a record,
Of drugs and booze and tears.
When I crawled out of the bottle
I’d been buried in for years.

Half a decade sober.
Not a real long time.
That’s how long I’m clean tho’,
My life’s becoming mine.

The winds of war are blowing by;
In history books they last.
I’m in the winter of my years,
My best days...they have passed.

The one thing that I’ve never done
One thing I cannot face:
To visit the Memorial,
The headstone for that place.

My daughter said, “You have to go,
To honor those who died!”
I said I know I should…
But that I’d go…I lied

Then one day the phone rang;
A call I knew I’d dread.
It was Donny’s sister,
“Please help me!” Karen pled.

“I’ve spent these years just searching
I even hired a sleuth.
I finally found out where you live…
I need to know the truth.”

“The Army’s always been real vague,
And their answers never matched.
I need to know what happened;
They always seemed detached”

“Our Mother has passed on now,
But I still need to know;
I’d really love to meet with you,
Please…just show me how!”

The hounds of Hell are roused again;
Their howling has re-started.
I force their shrieks out of my mind,
My path, it has been charted

Quiet now, you dogs of war!
It's time for a new quest!
It's time for me to wrestle you,
And lay your souls to rest!

Then I thought the one thing,
A thought I'd never say,
Should I meet her at The Wall,
And put my hounds at bay?

I finally said I’d meet with her,
With a voice that was not mine.
“The Wall is where I’ll meet you.
I’ll see you there at nine.”

I saw flowers in her hand,
As she walked my way.
“Yellow roses were his favorite.”
Later she would say.

“Hello, my name is Karen.”
She said when we did meet
“Donny wrote me many things,
I knew that you’d be sweet!”

“I know this must be hard for you,
But I really need to know.
Please tell me how my brother died,
That day, so long ago.”

The moment had arrived.
I could hide this fact no more.
I said things I’d kept hidden,
Behind my mind’s locked door

She took my hand in hers,
And waited patiently.
My head bowed down as I thought
Of words I had to say.

I knew my words would stab her heart
But she would not look away.
She watched me as I told her
Of that ghastly day.

“Your Brother died in my arms
In that nameless place.
He took the bullets meant for me
And died as we embraced!”

Her head dropped down, when I was done
Her chin upon her chest.
A single tear rolled down her cheek,
“Now Donny’s laid to rest”

I walked with her as she made her way
To the Wall of Stone.
She laid the flowers at the base
Her silent prayer was sown.

At last I’ve honored those who fell,
Whose names are etched in rows.
We touched the name of Donny,
Who died so long ago.

And we cried…

The Eagle’s cry is heard again;
It lives within the Wall!
Each time that a name is touched
The Eagle gives his call.

Horses and Heroes is not about pointing fingers or creating a political firestorm. It is a documentary, which will help military personnel and veterans find a new way to cope with the physical and emotional challenges brought into their lives by war. Equine Therapy does not involve drugs nor lying on a couch and spilling their guts. What it does do is help them find new ways to see and react to their emotional triggers. It helps their bodies remember how it used to work. It can't replace what was lost, but it can give them the confidence to see that they are more than the sum of their body parts. Horses and Heroes will give veterans and military personnel the information they need to find alternative healing solutions, which can help prevent another Fort Hood.

Graduating to Another Grade at the School of Hard Knocks

Some many people see life as black and white, while life is in reality many shades of gray. The relationships and events that are brought into our lives teach us this by exposing us to many people in different situations to see how we will react. The people we love and trust affect us but they do not reflect us. The situations our decisions put us test us to see how we will react. They are not punishments, but challenges to test our learning process.

Whether it was a karmic lesson or a challenge from this lifetime, I came to believe that what happened to me, around me, and to those in my life was my responsibility. If someone I cared about was hurt, it was my fault. If something broke or if something zigged when I thought it should zag that it was a punishment. That belief was never a truth. It was a challenge for me to over come. The who and the why of how it was reinforced in my childhood is a long story that would make War and Peace look like a novelette. I wrote those tales on pages that have been since been burnt to release the pain and guilt, but also find the love and the hope. The lessons other taught me then are on them, but how I react to them now is mine.

Three years ago a beautiful soul that I named Sophie came to my back door. She is a tuxedo kitty that was so small that I thought she was only about six month old. What I didn't know when I adopted her was that she was a Trojan kitty. Two weeks later, she had four kittens. She was so malnourished from being abandoned that the kittens were smaller than normal and she needed extra care for her to be able to care for them.

I named the babies, Izzie, Simon, Merrie, and Honey-bunny. Merrie and Simon were eager to take on the world. Their eyes opened quickly. Honey-bunny wasn't far behind. Izzie’s was a little slower. Her eyes didn't want to open, but once they did she became leader of the pride. She was clever and courageous. She was the first to explore and last to back down.

I took them to the veterinarian for the first check up at about eight weeks. I took in four healthy kittens, but two days later all of them were sick and refusing to eat. I took them back. The vet took Izzie’s temperature. It was the only difference. He gave them a different kind of worming medication. Within 24 hours, the babies started to recover except for Izzie. Initially, they were all happily eating again. But then Izzie stopped. I called the vet and was told to give her a couple of more days. Izzie started to loose weight. I force fed her water and food. I changed food and eventually went to baby food to help sustain her. Nothing I did made a difference. She weakened. I didn't want to let her go I set up another appointment with another vet for the next morning. That night she began to whimper in pain. I saw what I was doing to her. That beautiful soul was staying in a body that didn't work, because she loved me. I told her it was okay to go. That I loved her and would be okay. She relaxed and smiled a little. I didn't want to leave her, but I suddenly really had to go to the bathroom. By the time I got back, that beautiful soul had left. I was only gone a few moments. But it was the time she needed.

For a long time, I blamed myself. I emotionally beat myself with the would-have, should-have stick. The reality was that it was her time. The circumstances of her pregnancy and birth gave her a body that was only temporary. There was nothing that I could have done to fix what was not mine. It was never about me. It was Izzie's path and her choice. When I realized that she was freed of a body that did not work and I started the grieving process. That bright beautiful soul brought a love, joy, and courage into my life. For that I will always be grateful.

Last spring, I was hired to produce a business platform, including the budget, proposal, and operating agreement/bylaws, along with four videos for a new non-profit organization. I was assured that once the platform and the videos were available that the she would have the funding to not only register the organization with the state and federal governments, but she would also be able pay me for my work.

When I set the price for my work, I thought I would be some receiving help with the information gathering. I love research, but some of the budget items like the cost of renting office space would have been more efficiently done by someone who lives in the area. I asked for help, but received none. Additionally, the organization's name changed after the work began, making it necessary for me to reedit the videos that I already produced as well as the business platform. I finished and delivered my work. I asked for payment only to be told that the there would be a delay because the donor wanted to see the organization's website, which had yet to be built. I gathered the information and delivered it to the web master. The site went up. Again payment was delayed due to the time of the year. The donors had already reached their limit, but would again be donating after the first of the year. The first of the year has come and gone. Although small payments have been being made all along, I have only received a third of what is owed. I have been given more promises and excuses for why she can't pay me. Yet she has the funds to travel to political events and conferences. She is able hobnob with politicians, celebrities, and other activists, because of the work I have done. But she doesn't feel the need to pay for the work that opened those doors for her.

The tall and short of it is that the project involved much more work and took longer than I expected. Plus I did more than the original agreement, including organizing the crowd fund campaign that raised enough to register the organization with the state, but instead the funds were spent on promoting the group on Facebook.

This is not a pity party, but the realization that sometimes you do have to fight for what is rightfully yours. I did the work. I also went above and beyond expectations. I deserve to be paid. This mind set is a life pattern that I needed to address. Although, I can find rainbow in this storm, it does not absolve the other person from her obligation. She needs to pay me what she owes now.

It the past I felt guilty about asking for what was owed me. I was afraid that I would loose a friend or that there would be a negative backlash that would cause others to turn against me. This is why I have been taken advantage of in the past. I treated myself like a doormat and didn't understand why other people wiped their feet on me. I have changed this mind set. I am a bright, innovative person, who is a blessing on this world. I am caring and sharing. Now I will be so with myself as well as others.

In this case, I trusted someone, who chose to take advantage of that trust. I am proud that I was able to trust. It's a new concept for me. But I am also proud that I didn't take on the other person's bad behavior. What ever happens from now will be her responsibility.

These were two very important life lessons that I needed to learn. We are only responsible for ourselves, our actions, and the results of those actions. Although we can learn from others, we are not responsible for them or their actions. Although others' lives affect ours, they do not reflect who we are or our destiny. Love and friendship does not mean ownership. To truly love and respect another, it means that you must let go and allow them face the karmic lessons. To do anything else stunts everyone's spiritual and emotional growth. When we take on what does not belong to us, we hurt ourselves and everyone involved.

Coincidence is God's Way of Remaining Anonymous

When the student is ready the teacher will appear. In this case, the teacher came in form of Gloria Loring's latest book, Coincidence is God's Way of Remaining Anonymous. Loring honestly shared her own healing quest through and around the bumps in her road. But unlike most books in the genre, she uses joy and humor, but she also doesn't pull any punches about her learning and growing process.

"If you knew for certain that very, very soon, all your dreams would be coming true, what would you do today to prepare the way?"

I found this particular quote inspirational in helping me to work through spiritual blockages that kept me from not only finding happiness, but also blocked me from achieving success. This simple statement put all of my worry and dreams into perspective. It gave me the inspiration I needed finally gentle close the door on the past, while being able to see the future with hope and love. By the time I turned the last page and closed the cover, I had found the courage to release my fears and embrace the hope for my future.

However, that is only one of many quotes that Gloria Loring uses as she shared her emotional and spiritual healing journey. By listening to the Divine and courageously following her instincts, she was able to navigate her life challenges to find success both in her personal and professional lives. From the beginning of her career through the disappointments to the beginning of her new journey, Gloria found success when she was open enough to listen during meditation and brave enough to follow her intuition.

No matter where you are in your healing process or how you would describe your spiritual path, you will find wisdom and inspiration in Coincidence is God's Way or Remaining Anonymous.

Finding the Balance Between Greed and Martyrdom.

Finding the Balance Between Greed and Martyrdom.

Several years ago, I was on the road driving to an appointment. The day was sunny and clear. The traffic was light. Like most people, I find driving relaxing and my mind wandered; it didn‘t go to any particular topic, but just skimmed over what I had to accomplish that day and the current topics. I stopped at a red light. While I was waiting for the light to change, I heard, “If sacrifice yourself, the evil will end.” Being an intuitive, I’m used to picking up on stray thoughts or the presence of those from other realms. Honestly, for a few moments, I did consider it. Think about it. Being able to cure all the world’s ills just by jumping from one life to the next. The light turned green. I had to wait for several cars coming from the other direction. Down the road, the next car was turning into a drive; behind it looked clear. I started to turn. Suddenly, another car appeared behind the one turning. Again, I heard the question. This time I said “no” and slammed on the breaks. The car pasted and I heard laughing.

With the ascension process rapidly gaining speed and intensity, many are finding that fear has become their biggest challenge. However, it is being expressed in diverse and sometimes extreme manors. Both greed and martyrdom spring from the same emotionally well--fear. As strange as it may seem, they are also ego based challenges for the soul who has yet to grow through or learn how create balance.

Greed stems from being afraid of being without or loosing what she or he has. Having things or manipulating others doesn’t make one powerful or secure. In fact, excess of both only increases the fear level. When a person’s security is based outside her or himself instead of being centered from within, she or he will tightly hold onto the things and people in their lives, choking not only what already have, but also future possibilities.

Martyrdom springs from two ego extremes--self doubt and self aggrandizement. If the gift is not given freely and for no other reason than to be of service, the gift is ego driven. Sacrifice is not the path to enlightenment or redemption. Forgiveness, wisdom and love can’t be bought or bartered. All three come from the learning process that comes from experiencing all the lessons the universe has to offer. It is through this process that the soul gains understanding of how to trust and share without the need to control.

If I had sacrificed myself, it would have been in vain; no one person can safe the world. Each and every soul that incarnates has lessons and challenges of its own, which are as diverse and complicated as there are stars in all the universes. There is no one size fits all solution since there isn’t a single issue, but an infinite number. The person or soul who thinks they can fix all the woes of the world places an unnecessary and unattainable challenge in their path. Free will is the highest law in all the universes that not even the Ultimate Source of all things will break. In order for one to fix the ills of the world, it would have to take absolute control on every level, thereby interfering not only with free will, but also intruding on every challenge and lesson. To have a perfect world, one would have to force perfection on everyone. Even if one had such power, absolute power corrupts absolutely. So that even the best of intentions would bring about disastrous results. No matter what the intention, using evil methods only creates more evil.

It’s no one soul’s right or responsibility to heal the world’s ills; each of us need only to do our best to heal ourselves and freely help those who come into our life. True power and security comes from within. Indeed, the most powerful person is the one who knows and understand her or himself. In Xena, there was a piece of wisdom that was a major signpost in my life--”To control others is to have power; to control yourself is to know the way.” Living life with an open hand and doing one’s best is the path to not only to achieving balance but also a major step in releasing fear. Both of which are part of the ascension process.

Washing Dishes-A Metaphor for Healing

Washing Dishes
A Metaphor for Healing
By
Theresa Chaze

Emotional healing is like washing dishes. A strange comparison, yes but an accurate one. Washing dishes removes left over food from the dinnerware; emotional healing removes pain from our souls. For both of them, the longer the waste has been there, the more difficult it is to wash it away. Unlike permanently stained dishes, you can not simply toss away your soul and get another. However, the more quickly you deal with the injury, like dishes, the easier it is to take care of the problem. Yet sometimes the damage is so devastating that like a burned casserole dish it will take a lot of work and time to get it clean.

After a meal, if the dishes are washed or rinsed right away, they clean quickly and easily. However if they are left for any length of time, the food dries to the plate and it will take more effort to cleanse them. The same is also true for emotional hurts. If you deal with them at the time of the injury, you can deal directly with the source. Being open and honest about how you feel clears up misunderstandings and prevents the issue from being clouded by other factors.

However if you are unable, for whatever reason, to deal openly with the wounded feelings, they begin to fester and expand into other aspects of your life. Until it is dealt with, the hurt will not simply go away. Instead like a dish that has been left too long, it will attracted flies and eventually transmute into something icky--like mold. So do hurt feeling attract undesirable emotions like fear, anger and self doubt. None of those emotions are truly negative; it’s not being able to get past them that leads to further problems. Unlike the food that becomes the mold, the emotions are not changed, but they change the person from the inside out. Getting stuck in them only leads a person to do and say things they normally wouldn’t, which spreads the negativity to others.

So how is the cycle broken? Being honest, self aware and honoring yourself enough to speak your mind and stand your ground are ways misunderstandings are prevented. You don’t have to be aggressive or self pitying to tell another that their behavior or words were hurtful. Sometimes people don’t realize how their bad mood is affecting others. Everyone at some point has gotten so wrapped up in their challenges that they have forgotten the niceties. This doesn’t mean that they will always care. There are people who go out of their way to hurt others, mostly because that is how they deal with their own pain. However, by stating your feelings openly, honestly and with compassion, you get them out into the open. But you must remember not to take their reaction personally. It is this clearing that heals, not how the person responds. By stating your truth you are able to wash your plate clean and move on.

Yet what if you haven’t or couldn’t deal with the issue immediately or the person is no longer available? Be honest with yourself. It’s the denial of the feelings that give them power over you. If your feelings were hurt--acknowledge it. The more honest you are with yourself, the less likely you are to misdirect the feeling onto others who had nothing to do with the injury. However if you can’t for what ever reason deal with the situation or person at the time, step back and get perspective. It’s like taking time to soak the really dirty dishes, while you wash the easier ones. By the time you get to them, the dried food has softened and will be easier to remove. Emotionally you have more options: Talk to another to get an more objective perspective; it’s possible your issues could have lead you to over react. Get more information; there might be more going on than you were aware of. Consider that you were responsible; previously you could have hurt their feelings and that situation hadn’t been dealt with. Or it could simple be that both of you just happen to meet while both of you were having a bad day; in that case both forgive yourself and the other person then move on.

Yet like a burnt casserole dish, there are situations that are so traumatic that they simple can not be healed immediately. Unlike like cross words, lies or misunderstandings, these injuries usually affect the persons whole life or have happened over an extended period of time. In these cases, there are no quick fixes--no words that can alleviate the pain. The dish can be tossed, but the emotional injury can’t be. In these cases the pain is so devastating that it is forgotten or buried because the person simply can’t deal with it. Whether it’s fear or lack of self esteem, they refuses to admit they are in pain. By doing so they do not have to deal with the source of their hurt.

In the cases of childhood trauma, many children are taught to honor their parents, no matter how much damage they do. They feel that they do not have the right to be angry with the parent or to hold them accountable for their actions, simply because of who they are. They turn their anger inward. Instead of confronting the source of their pain, they become self abusive. Frequently, as they grow into adulthood, they find others who reinforce the self image their parents cultivated. The abuse continues and is eventually spread to the next generation as the off-spring inherit the abused behavior. In cases when the source is a stranger, confusion and self-doubt is added as the person questions why they were chosen--what did they do to attract the abusive person’s attention? In many cases, they can not find a logical reason, as a result they blame themselves. So in addition to the physical injuries, they take on the emotional responsibility for the actions of another. Instead of blaming the perpetrator, they feel guilty for the attack. In both instances, the longer the pain is not acknowledge, the more difficult it will be to deal with the true source of the pain.

Healing begins by acknowledging that there is a problem and finding the root source. Until that happens, only the symptoms can be addressed. But dealing with the symptom doesn’t cure anything. Cure one and another one will manifest, usually more intense than the previous. Until the true source of the injury is exposed, the behaviors and inner torment will continue. Like the casserole dish, only time, a good soak and a lot of hard work will cleanse the ick away. For emotions, the soak usually involves many tears and a good support team. Friends, family, and professionals working together to help rebuild what was torn apart are essential parts of the healing process. They are the support staff. But the head of the team is always the person and their determination to heal. Until the person makes the decision to confront the source directly, no matter who they are, and properly place the blame, they will not heal. Confrontation doesn’t necessary need to be a physical encounter, but acknowledging who is responsible. Who caused the pain? Who did the hurting? The old wounds have to be opened and the source of the pain brought into the light. Initially the process will be very painful, causing the person to want to go back into denial. Like peeling back the layers of an onion, the healing process will open old wounds and reawaken old memories until the original source is discovered. At each new level, the person learns to understand more about themselves and become stronger for it. The inwardly turned anger is eventually turned outward and focused on the source of the pain. Professional supervision will keep the healing process moving forward on a positive level. Getting stuck in the blame game will only halt you positive progression. Whether or not the other person takes responsibility for their actions has no bearing on you healing process. Like with the small hurts, honoring your truth and respecting yourself is the goal and the way to move forward. By allowing yourself to see the truth of your life without guilt, fear, or anger you see past as just that--the past. You physically survived it, now it is time to truly live through it and move forward.

Affirmations

Affirmations
By
Theresa Chaze

Affirmations are more than just new age mumbo jumbo. They are declarations or assertions of truth that a person wishes to create. They can be either positive or negative depending on how a person focuses their attention. Affirmations are the repetitive focusing of the mind, will and spiritual energy on a specific outcome.

However, not all affirmations are formal or conscious. Sometimes the most powerful are the ones that are created when a person is daydreaming. Repetition is what energized the statements and clarifies the desire in the person’s mind. Whatever a person repeatedly thinks, feels or fantasizes about becomes a personal affirmation.

Frequently used for healing or manifestation, affirmations focus the person's energy on the results they would like to achieve. The simpler and more direct the statement is, the more effective it will be. A popular one for prosperity is "Money comes to me quickly, easily and frequently." It is short, sweet and to the point. By focusing on what you want instead of what you are trying to eliminate, you open the door for financial prosperity to enter your life. Many people put their energy in the form of worry into their bills; they don’t realize they are asking for more of the same. The universe is more than willing to provide anything we ask for, we just have to know how to ask. In the case of illness, instead of asking for the disease to disappear, you should put your energy into being healthy and strong. As an example: “In every way and every day, I become healthier and stronger.”

However, negative thoughts and feelings can just as easily diminish the positive outcome if the person chooses to put energy into their fears and doubts. By focusing on a negative outcome, you can delay or even prevent yourself from receiving the blessing you are asking for. It takes practice and control to be able to release past negative behaviors and open the doors to the miracles life has to offer.

Anger Vampires

Anger Vampires
By
Theresa Chaze
Several years ago, a woman started working at the same small factory as myself. At first, Cathy seemed like a very nice person; however, she quickly showed her true colors. Even though she was a very good worker, she was also very good at stirring up trouble between the other employees. By subtly manipulating conversations and people, she was able to cause conflicts that quickly were blown out of proportion. Even though she was the source of the conflict, she was never held responsible. Many times, I went home feeling angry, tired and ill. Many of the other employees complained about feeling the same way.
I didn't understand why the atmosphere in the factory suddenly changed until I talked to a friend of mine who was more spiritually aware. Danielle told me of a of vampire that feeds off the anger energy. Like all emotions, anger has an identifiable frequency that radiates out from a person. Like love, friendship and joy, anger energy can be sensed by others even if it is not verbally or physically acted upon. Anger vampires cannot only sense it, but it is this energy that sustains them. Like all vampires, they are incapable of regenerating on their own. They need feed off others have strength and vigor. In order to maintain a constant supply of food, they will deliberately create conflicts in order to charge the atmosphere with angry energy.
Danielle suggested a test to verify if Cathy was an anger vampire. The next time she attempted to start a conflict, instead of becoming angry I should visualize giving her a bouquet of flowers. If the situation calmed down, there was something else going on. However, if Cathy persisted or increased her attempts, then she was an anger vampire. The next Monday, she started to pick a fight. I smiled and visualized offering her a bunch of pink carnations. She was startled for a moment, but she increased her efforts. I had my answer.
The only way to get rid of any type of vampire is to starve them out. Instead of getting angry, I started mentally blessing her and sending her love. In doing so, not only did I take myself off the menu, but also my energy actually became toxic to her. Granted the first few times, when I mentally said “bless you” it had more of the feel of two other words, but the words themselves were still effective. At first, she tried harder to goad me into an argument. Yet the more I blessed her, the easier it was to actually mean the words when I saw how effective they were. After a few days, she started avoiding me and concentrated on the other employees. There was no way I could explain to the others what was going on, so in their name I blessed her. At first, she was shocked and kept trying, but after a couple of weeks, she quit working at the factory. Suddenly everyone was feeling better and the most of the tension dissipated.

Free Ezine: Messages From the Universe--An Ezine of Many Voices

Messages From the Universe--An Ezine of Many Voices

Valkyrie Publishing is proud to announce the beginning of it second year publishing, Messages From the Universe. This ezine’s goal is to give a voice to diverse points of view and spiritual wisdom. However, unlike most spiritual ezines, Messages From the Universe encompasses all aspects of life, not just those who follow mystical topics. Instead of differentiating between the spiritual and the mundane, this ezine intertwines all aspects of life in a single forum.
With a rapidly growing readership, Messages From The Universe gives writers a venue to share their wisdom or challenge the status quo. There are no taboo topics except those that spread hate, bigotry or ignorance. Many spiritual ezines limit the articles to the mystical, healing or otherworldly issues. However, Messages From The Universe sees life as being interconnected. Like a stone dropped into a pond causes ripples that radiate across the surface to the shores, so does every action send out wrinkles in the universal energy. Whether on a spiritual or on a mundane level, every act affects life on some level. It is Valkyrie Publishing’s goal to show how politics, religion and metaphysics can be successfully intertwined in a single medium.
To have this free ezine delivered to your email address on a monthly bases go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MessagesFromtheUniverse/ and join this Yahoo group. Current and past issues are available at www.theresachaze.com.
