Michael K Hodges: The Choice is Yours

 The Choice is Yours

Michael K. Hodges

She's chasing shadows

    til they disappear.

She's searching for truth

    trapped in her lies.

Haunted Memories

    circle in her life

    trying to find

    what she gave away.

Flying too high

Mediate.

Silent thoughts.

In a dream,

    her name is called.

She is running far too fast.

Heard a voice.-

    leave your regrets behind.

Give pride a path to the other side.

Be honest if you can.

Then she felt a gentle touch.

She woke up

    in thoughts.

Many years.

Many times.

Brought her back

    in her father's dream.

She looks in the mirror.

Don't see

    who she used to be.

Her sadness is trying to believe.

The lines in her past are gone.

Her mind told her

    the choice is yours.

Kaleidoscope Film and Television combines the best of old-school storytelling with modern technologies. Based on the concept originally created by D. W. Griffith, Charlie Chaplin, Mary Pickford, and Douglas Fairbanks with United Artists, Kaleidoscope Film and Television intends to once again pull together the talent of producers, directors, actors, and crew, who want to take back their independence by having more financial and creative control of their careers. Kaleidoscope will bring together individuals and independent production companies to produce projects based on age, gender, and ethnic diversity. It will challenge the current business model by focusing on responsible production budgets and financially respecting the team members. This inclusive business model will attract creatives with good business sense.

Kaleidoscope Film and Television's goal is to produce entertaining films, television series, and documentaries that make a profit as well as a difference.

Kitty Dreams

Kitty Dreams
By
Theresa Chaze

Snuggled on the back of the over stuff chair,
comfortably snoozing in the sun.
Your ear twitches.
Your paw curls, but just end.
Your nose twitches.
The tip of your tail quivers, but just a bit.
What is that you dream?
Where does your magical slumber lead you?
Do you romp with your new siblings or chase the errant bug.
Or are you remember the time before you came to me?
The time of hunger.
The time of cold.
The time of fearing the dark night.
I remember that finding you cold and wet in the dark.
My heart wept to see someone so young, alone and toss out as trash.
You stretch.
Your eyes open.
You lick your lips and yawn.
Seeing me you purr and slip back into your kitty dream.
No more shall you hide in the shadows or feel the pangs of hunger.
Here in my arms you will always be safe.
Dream my little one.
Momma is here.
No longer need you fear.
No longer need you hunger.
No longer are you alone.

My Mother’s Voice
By
Theresa Chaze

I thought I heard my Mother’s voice tonight whispering
in my inner ear.
She said at last
her time had passed.
I have begun to face my fears.

I thought I heard my Mother’s voice tonight whispering
in my inner ear.
She said don’t be sad.
Please don’t be mad.
I have found peace over here.

I thought I heard my Mother’s voice tonight whispering
in my inner ear.
She said to forgive.
It’s your time to live.
This life is all yours my dear.

I thought I heard my Mother’s voice tonight whispering
in my inner ear.
She said release your fears,
wipe away your tears,
It is time to reach for your goals.

I thought I heard my Mother’s voice tonight whispering
in my inner ear.
She said do not forget.
Try not to regret.
Please allow yourself to become whole.

I thought I heard my Mother’s voice tonight whispering
in my inner ear.
She said to find peace
you must release
the anger hidden in your soul.

I thought I heard my Mother’s voice tonight whispering
in my inner ear.
She said it was time to leave.
But try to believe
I will never be far
No matter where you are.
My love will guide
and try to provide
the love and grace
to try to ease
the pain and tears
you felt through the years.
