Do you believe love survives?

Imprisoned in her family's home, the spirit of a murdered child waits for her parents to free her. But they have reincarnated and have moved on to new lives as has her killer. Randi must bring them back together so that they can forgive themselves and make amends. If she succeeds, they will all heal and she will be freed to also reincarnate. If she fails and they seek the revenge they were denied in the past, they will all be damn.

The past and the present intertwine to create an innovative spin on the ghostly genre as the characters are led down a path of love, guilt, betrayal, revenge, and murder.

death is only the beginning.

Innovative Spin on the Ghostly Genre

Paranormal thriller with an innovate spin on the ghostly genre from Theresa Chaze on Vimeo.

Imprisoned in her family's home, the spirit of a murdered child waits for her parents to free her. But they have moved on to new lives as has her killer. Randi must bring them back together, so that they can forgive themselves and make amends. If she succeeds, they will all heal and she will be freed to also reincarnate. If she fails, their need for revenge will damn them all.

Combining two concepts, Never Can Say Good-bye creates an innovative spin on the ghostly genre. With a tagline, “When love is forever, death is only the beginning,” it is comparable to Ghost and The Others.

When love is forever, death is only the beginning

Have you ever met someone and suddenly felt love or hate? Did you wonder why? What if you had forgotten the reason? Would you want to remember if it could save you life?

Elizabeth was asked by her mentor to teach a writing course at a small college. Since she never forgets a kindness, she reluctantly agrees. Arriving in town, she instantly regrets her decision. She wants to run, but she is honor bound to stay. Even as the ghost of a small child begs her to forgive, the memories of another time arouse feelings of hatred that she doesn't understand and cannot control. When she meets Shane, all of their lives are thrown onto a dangerous collision course from which they can neither run, nor can they hide. The question is, "Can they overcome their tragic past or will they be doomed to repeat it?"

Love can be a blessing or the curse that destroys a town.

J. Brian: Producer, Writer, Director

Until You Walk The Path, You Won’t Know Where it Goes hosting Producer, Writer, and Director J. Brian at 1 pm eastern on February 5, 2015 as we talk about his up coming project Mettle of Honor as well as the his diverse experience both in front of and behind the cameras.

J. Brian has spent 30 years of his life in and out of almost all aspects of entertainment. From standup comedy, acting, modeling and makeup design to writing, directing and producing, he has managed to learn as much as he can in the field of entertainment to become a very versatile one-man production team. He also writes horror and pulp-style adventure fiction as well as designs card and board games, with his first card game making its mass market debut in 2013.

His first film effort, a 26 minute, $200 ghost story called “The Shed”, went on to win Best Horror Short at the 2004 New York International Independent Film and Video Festival and he has racked up several awards since then. He has worked on television programs for live broadcast and networks such as VH1 and FOX, produced numerous promotional and music videos for entertainers and rap artists, and has written, directed and/or produced many short and feature length movies.

Regarding his movies, he has worked as writer, casting director, location scout and manager, makeup designer and artist, scene and lighting designer, stunt and fight choreographer, director of photography, visual effects artist, editor, camera operator, director, producer and executive producer.

Mettle of Honor synopsis:
When a gang of kidnappers takes their young hostage to an abandoned building to await a $100 million ransom, a homeless Vietnam vet who lives in the building becomes her only hope for salvation.

Led by Nick, a recently paroled bank robber, a gang of 14 ruthless killers kidnaps Molly, the 16 year old daughter of a bank president and gives him 24 hours to rob his own bank for the $100 million ransom... or she dies.

Taking her to an abandoned 6-story building in an isolated and derelict area of the city, Nick orders his men to kill the homeless squatters who inhabit the old building to eliminate any witnesses.
Nick's plan soon hits a snag, however, when Gunny, a homeless Vietnam vet who lives in the building, starts fighting back.

As darkness falls, the 63 year old Marine calls upon combat and survival skills he hasn't used in 40 years as he wages a one-man war on a new, and much younger, enemy to protect the frightened young hostage.

Outnumbered, outgunned and definitely “out-youthed”, Gunny proves he still has the mettle worthy of a hero.

Jim (TJ Woodbury) takes a temporary job as a security guard for a large hotel when the last guard was "let go" for having too many bad habits. After chatting with the night desk clerk, Chris (John Santi), he learns that there is more to the sudden dismissal of the last guard than the hotel manager (Bobbi Lane) tells him which involved the accidental drowning of a young boy in the hotel's swimming pool and the guard's heartless attempt to cover it up. But when he takes a quick blow to the head by a hotel guest opening a door, Jim believes he's beginning to see things... like a dead boy floating in the pool. Soon, while making his late night rounds, Jim comes face to face with the angry ghost of the boy.

Brian's websites:

THE SHED is a 26 minute, black and white ghost story about a young couple who buy a house but is unaware that the shed in the backyard was the scene of a brutal murder a decade before and, as a result, is haunted. The husband, David ( Daniel Sappington) begins to hear a child crying in the backyard late at night but his wife, Amy (Liarra Michelle), is convinced that he's under a lot of stress over work and buying the house and is just hearing a neighborhood cat. Things come to a head when David ventures outside late one night after hearing the crying and comes face to face with the ghost of a little boy (Dylan Ochoa). After visit from the police (Jason Smith) and a mysterious old lady (Michal Faith McCune) who lives across the street, that night David learns the sad, yet gruesome, secret that the shed has been hiding for over 10 years..

Will the Curse Heal or Kill?

Sara Jane's soul was locked away until the sacrifice of another frees her to incarnate. She created a new life free of the old ties until the manipulations of another brought her back to the place where she was trapped and betrayed by the man she loved.    Will she find the way to forgive them all or will she take the revenge that she was denied in the past?

Never Can Say Good-bye is a paranormal thriller, which is much like Ghost, The Others, and the original TV series Dark Shadows. We already have cast and crew attached, including Sally Kirkland, Conrad Goode, Kimberly Estrada, Bill Hayes, and Sharon Smyth Lentz as well as the amazing A-listers of the future: Lillian Lamour, John Thomassen, Niki Cipriano, and Sean Harmon.

I have been communicating with a distributor. Although she can't give us a commitment at this time, she is very interested in our progress and has repeatedly asked to be kept up to date.

Though the weekly notifications that Slated sends out I know that that last week we had 30 investors worth $96 million USD tracking Never Can Say Good-bye. Horses and Heroes has $31 million USD tracking it. I suspect they are waiting for first money in or a distribution deal. This is the reason we are willing to give an extra percentage point for the first money.

Although we can't guarantee anything financially, I can say will confidence that we will make our investors proud as well as it is very likely a good profit,  To learn more about the who and what of Never Can Say Good-bye as well as watch our videos and listen to our music, please visit our website http://cproduction5.wix.com/cosmos-productions-#!page2/cjg9

The Right Actors in The Right Roles Makes Films Profitable

Paranormal, especially ghost stories, nearly always do well.  Never Can Say Good-bye will be tapping into that market genre.  However, unlike most, it will be able to increase its market share because it is family friendly much like Ghosts and The Others.  Also, it will both gather and satisfy million of Dark Shadows fans that were offended by the Depp movie, because we are offering the same kind of suspense, drama, and horror that made the original series a cult classic, whose popularity has lasted for decades.  Through character and plot development combined with casting the right person in the right role and the highest production values, including an amazing sound track, we are going to scare the socks off the audience without grossing them out.

Never Can Say Good-bye

Love can be a blessing or the curse that destroys a town.

An unpredictable journey of innocence, love, betrayal, and loss

Niki Cipriano is starring as Sara Jane in our paranormal horror feature Never Can Say Good-bye-when love and hate survive death.

She had this to say about it and her character.

Never Can Say Goodbye is a great love story that takes you on an unpredictable journey of innocence, love, betrayal, loss and hatred through the lives of it's interesting yet complex characters. The character I am playing, Sarah Jane, is a kind and loving soul who is betrayed first in life and then again in death. The love she holds for her family is deep and unconditional and cannot be severed by mortality. She was so impacted by her mortal life, that her presence continued long after death. Throughout the film Sarah Jane’s life impacts many in the film, some of them unknowingly until driven to the brink of sanity. It is not every day you come across a script where you get to play a character with this much emotional growth and impact. Sarah Jane is a cleverly-written, persistent character and I am honored to breathe life into her in this paranormal thriller.

Love Can Be a blessing or a curse

Much like Dark Shadows (the original), Ghost, and The Others, Never Can Say Good-bye is a ghost story about suspense, love, and betrayal. It poses the question, "If you were given a second chance, would you choose love or revenge?" Most people say love, but would you be strong enough to forgive the person who murdered your child or would you seek revenge?

Have you ever met someone and suddenly felt love or hate? Did you wonder why? What if you had forgotten the reason? Would you want to remember if it could save you life?

Reviewer Roy Sexton read Never Can Say Good-bye's script and review it for us.  His review was insightful and amazing.

Never Can Say Good-bye reinvents the reincarnation conceit (Somewhere in Time, Ellen Burstyn’s 1980 film Resurrection) in the guise of gothic paranormal psychodrama (Nicole Kidman’s 2001 film The Others, Julie Harris’ 1963 film The Haunting, Deborah Kerr’s 1961 film The Innocents). The plot concerns two families united by a doomed marriage in the 1950s and explores the dissonant legacy that familial discord has had on subsequent generations. (See the Stephen King/John Mellencamp musical Ghost Brothers of Darkland County for another take on this thematic concept.)

You can read the rest at his blog http://reelroyreviews.com/2014/07/16/we-love-a-good-ghost-story-how-about-you-never-can-say-good-bye-film-in-development-plus-slipstream-theatre-event-and-shih-tzu-res-cue/#comments

"Unexpected, clever, moving, frightening, twisted, fast paced... All words that easily describe the Script for Never Can Say Goodbye. Yet even as I write them I am not sure they do the story justice. We all love a great ghost story. Undying love, the idea that a love can be so strong as to transcend death. Or a hatred so deep it can do the same. This film touches on all of these ideas while carefully not detracting from the interesting relationships between the well thought out characters. It's ambitious and that draws you in as a performer. The role I will be playing is that of Jefferson. Jefferson is intriguing because the character both displays bravado, confidence and insecurity. Blinded by love he doesn't see what everyone else does. So in essence he is written very human. There is no need to guild the Lilly here. I think there is definitely aspects of myself in the character. I genuinely look forward to getting to know him better. It will be my honor."

John Thomassen
"Jefferson"

Some souls will stop at nothing to reclaim a lost love, including reincarnating and returning to the home that they shared together.

"I will portray Shane, Michael's new wife. Shane loves him and wants to create a good life for them. But a crazy possessed woman, who has traveled across time, wants him back. Shane doesn't know if she can stop her from taking revenge on the man she loves. It's so exciting to be able to play Shane in this film, as it is such a complex role that touches on so many human emotions like love, jealousy, narcissism, passion, anger, and nonhuman things like possession and feeling haunted.

As an actress, to have the chance to be able to explore these emotions, along with portraying someone who is possessed, and express this on film is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. It has been a dream of mine to play a role where I get to sing, and this character is a singer in a bluesy band, which involves another element of challenge as an actress to train and sing well as part of a film.

If you can contribute a little something to make this film come alive, you'll increase your good karma and help produce a quality film that you will be very proud to be associated with."

Lillian Lamour
"Shane"

"I've always loved ghost stories as a genre. The "Never Can Say Goodbye" screenplay came to my attention via writer and executive producer, Theresa Chaze and Cosmos Productions. The idea of an epic love story that transcends the physical boundaries of life and death - and crosses the boundaries of inter-dimensional time and space really caught my eye. I am excited to be on board and involved in the project as Director and Producer. I'm looking forward to the opportunity to bring this exciting and imaginative love story that is full of ghostly thrills and chills to life as a feature film."

Director & Producer

Never Can Say Good-bye: The reincarnation of Ghost, The Others, and the TV series Dark Shadows

Never Can Say Good-bye is a paranormal thriller, which brings back the suspense and horror of a traditional ghost story. Much like Ghost, The Others, and Dark Shadows, Never Can Say Good-bye is a family friendly film that focuses on suspense rather than gore.

Based on character and plot development, Never Can Say Good-bye is a low budget, family friendly film. Unlike the current trends of big budgets that balance on the reputations of one or two A-listers, we have an ensemble cast of recognizable talent as well as the very talented A-listers of the future. If you are innovative, you don't have to spend a 100 million to make a good film. You just need to start with a solid script and add in talented people both in front of and behind the cameras.
