Stop feeding the political and spiritual vampires

Time to make positive change. Instead of fearing, hating, and slamming the negative events and people, we need to put our time, energy, and courage into what we want to create. Hating and attacking Trump, his minions, and his followers only supports their poor-me-pity-me-see-how they attack me mentality. By verbally, physically, and spiritually attacking them, you empower and embolden them to become worse as they see it as self defense.

There is a video going around a of a Evangelist in Texas going to a mall to destroy children's Christmas. He preached his church's version of religion, while saying Santa Clause didn't exist and everyone who believed in him was either evil or deluded. I can't imagine how horrible his life must be if he fills it by deliberately hurting others. My spirituality inspires me to help and comfort others. His obviously promotes the opposite. I couldn't imagine any sane, loving person would do what he did. My knee jerk reaction, as well as many others, was to go to his page and say horrible things No doubt he loved everyone of those negative comments. We fed his delusion of martyrdom. If instead, we had treated him as a mentally ill person in need of emotional and spiritual help, it would have been like feeding garlic to a vampire. Positive loving energy dispels negativity in the same way. Standing in your power and for what is right defeats fear, hate, and ignorance.

I am not advocating become a doormat. On the contrary, I'm saying use that time, energy, and courage to empower yourself and others of the same positive mindset. If you can march, march and speak up for each other and positive change. If you can't march support those who can, but also make phone calls, send faxes, send emails and run for office.

The Republican don't feel the need to compromise, because they have gerrymandered security into their seats. Gerrymandering is being addressed in the courts and voting booths. But that takes time. Voting is one thing we can and must all do. Every vote does matter. No candidate is perfect. Litigating 2016 is pointless. Voting in 2018 in a tidal wave numbers will change the balance of power. There are twice as many of us as there of them. When all of us show up, they can't win.

Extreme Republicans: The Reason Ignorance is Spreading in the United States

In a time when science is so important to creating solutions to the world challenges, the Extreme Republicans are attempting to drag this country into ignorance and bigotry. Exclusive and divisive, they support only those that look, think and belief as they do. They believe that others must be converted. If they will not change than they it is okay to emotionally, spiritually, and physically harm them.

Religious freedom means that everyone beliefs end at their nose. It is not okay to force your beliefs, lifestyle or religion on anyone else. Yet the Extremist feel that they have the right to do so.

Voting for this kind of mentality is to back to a time when a McCarthy had neighbors spying on each other. When bigots safely walked around in white hoods, burning crosses on lawns and lynching those who disagreed with them. It was a time when women were told it was their fault if their husband or partner beat them. Rape victims were blamed for being raped, while the rapist were protected by their buddies, the law and religion. In the work place, women were paid less for equal work. Harassment by employees and fellow employees was acceptable. If women couldn't take it they should get married and stay home. Gaining control over their reproduction gave women financial control their lives, which in turn gave them control over their destiny.

By denying provable science facts they spread ignorance and bigotry to the future generations. It is one of the major reasons that the United States is falling behind other nations in the technological race. They are focusing on math, science, computers, history, while leaving the religion in the homes and churches. Religion isn't one of the three R's as long as the Extremist push it above all else, the United States will never regain its number one positions for innovative and forward thinking.

Religious Discrimination: Christians Cry Fowl

Religious Discrimination: Christians Cry Fowl

I was flipping through the channels when I came across what I thought was a documentary on religious discrimination; however, it didn't take long for me to discover that I was mistaken. Instead of a documentary, it was a half hour infomercial for the website Silencing Christians (http://www.silencingchristians.com/), which is a website that proclaims that Christians are having the civil rights violated. However, all their claims of harassment and discrimination spring from situations or events where they were prevented from inflicting their religion on others or when public funds were used to promote their particular faith.

The premise of the site is that Christians are being discriminated against by the government. It gave several examples of how their civil rights, including freedom of religions, free speech and the right to assemble, were violated. Their seven videos list such things as:

* Activists pushing tolerance to such an extreme that the Bible is being labeled hate speech.

How many people have been accosted on city streets or have their day interrupted by a knock at the door by someone trying to save their souls? Christians, like everyone who chooses to be believe or not believe, have the right to follow their own life path as they see fit. What they don’t have the right to do is inflict it on others. I have been told that it is the Christian doctrine to bring the teachings of Christ to others. That’s peachy keen jellybean. Go preach to the choir. No one else wants to hear it. You don’t have the right to tell others what their truth is or to force them to follow your spiritual path.

Hate speech is defined by Wikipedia as:

Hate speech is a term for speech intended to degrade, intimidate, or incite violence or prejudicial action against a person or group of people based on their race, gender, age, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, language ability, moral or political views, socioeconomic class, occupation or appearance (such as height, weight, and hair color), mental capacity and any other distinction-liability. The term covers written as well as oral communication and some forms of behaviors in a public setting. It is also sometimes called antilocution and is the first point on Allport's scale, which measures prejudice in a society.

In the United States, the government is broadly forbidden by the First Amendment of the Constitution from restricting speech. Jurists generally understand this to mean that the government cannot regulate the content of speech, but that it can address the harmful effects of speech through laws such as those against defamation or incitement to riot.

When you degrade other faiths or lack of having a faith as being evil or spread lies about those following that path, you are guilty of hate speech. Every time you shout, “Thou shall not suffer a witch to live”, you are guilty of making a death threat, which is a felony and punishable by law.

* In Silencing the Christians” you’ll learn how this “sacred cow” of the liberal left only applies when it is being used to keep “Christ” out of school.

Schools are a place to learn the basic survival skills for life: reading, math, history, science, computer, etc. It is not a place of worship. The moral decay as you call it hasn’t been brought on by the removal from prayer from school. It’s not that simple. There are many reasons for the current chaos. The most important being that society is being force to deal with the violence and abuse that has been hidden within families. No longer are abusers able to safely violate their family members; instead, they seek targets outside the home. Lack of proper education--reading, math, science, etc--not religious teachings--leads to poverty, which in turn leads to violence, drug abuse and the many other social ills that Christians blame on the removal of prayer in school. The simple fact is that by creating an equal and balanced school system from coast to coast that provides the same resources and teaching quality, matter the social or economic structure of the area that the poverty and crime rates will decrease. In addition, the more education a girl receives the longer she will wait to have children as well as the number of children she will give birth to. However, this system is based on accurate, available information that is not based on the Bible, but on scientific and provable facts.

* Learn how legislation targets thought and freedom of speech that could make it illegal to believe in “Truth” or even quote the Bible.

The government has not made it illegal to believe in the Bible. It does however defend those who simply don’t want hear it. The only thing Christians have lost is the right to harass, bully, attack, defame, and forcefully convert others to their faith. Individuals have the right to believe or not believe, as they will as long it doesn’t harm or annoy another. This doesn’t included being offended by another following a different spiritual path. No matter what your doctrine states, you are not entitled to force it on other in word or deed.

* VA hospital neutralized its chapel by removing Christian symbols.
Military personal come in all sizes, shapes, ethic backgrounds and faiths, including those who have chosen to be religion-free. The VA and the branches of the military are extensions of the Federal Government, which is prohibited from establishing or enforcing religion. By making the chapel non-denominational, it is only complying with the Constitution. It doesn’t bar the doors to Christians, but establishes a safe haven for all who wish to seek spiritual solace. In 2007, Lady Liberty League along with other legal reform groups, sued and forced the VA to accept Pentacle as a religious symbol. No longer are Pagan and Wiccan soldiers deprived of their religious symbol on their memorial markers. It has changed nothing for Christians. Yet there are still those who cry foul as they are forced to share burial space with those of another religion.

* Lesbian couples sued a church for the right to hold a civil union ceremony.
This was part of the video I watched. New Jersey approved civil unions between same sexed couples; however, the dispute was over a publicly owned and operated area that was available to be rented by the public for events, including weddings. The women were denied access for their civil union ceremony and celebration afterwards. Even through the seaside pavilion received public funds, the Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association refused to access to the couple, claiming the women’s Constitutional rights weren’t being breached. The Association was sued and lost in federal court. They were given the choice of accepting civil unions along with weddings or to no longer hold any religious ceremonies at the location. Their bigotry became the deciding factor and weddings were banned.

* A mother was told reading from the Bible to her son's class is against the law.
A woman attempted to read the Bible to her son’s Kindergarten class and was told that it was against the law to promote religion in a pubic school. She claims that the school told her she could read a book about witches instead; however, the book was not named, which means the school could have suggested Harry Potter. If she wants to read the Bible to children, she should go to her church and teach a Bible class. Public schools are not the place to promote religion. Schools are a place of learning, not worship. By reading the passage, she inflicted her beliefs on the children, who were of diverse beliefs and were too young to stand up for themselves. In fact, she was forcefully indoctrinating the other children of the class, which violated their civil rights. If the situation had been reversed, with a Pagan, Jew, or Muslim preaching their doctrine, people like her would be the first to protest. Yet, she saw nothing wrong with forcing her beliefs on others.

* A Canadian pastor faced a hate crimes tribunal for writing a letter to his local newspaper.
As a result of Dr. Darren E. Lund’s complaint to the Human Rights Panel of Alberta, they charged Stephan Boissoin, director of the Concern Christian Coalition with a hate speech/discrimination based on sexual preference after he published a letter to the editor titled, “Homosexual Agenda Wicked.” Lund claimed that Boissoin’s willful published ideas, which fostered and provoked violence and intimidation based on sexual preference. Shortly after the initial publication of the letter to the editor, a 17 year old was attacked by a man who he thought he was gay. In Boissoin’s own words:

Homosexual Agenda Wicked

June 17, 2002

The following is not intended for those who are suffering from an unwanted sexual identity crisis. For you, I have understanding, care, compassion and tolerance. I sympathize with you and offer you my love and fellowship. I prayerfully beseech you to seek help, and I assure you that your present enslavement to homosexuality can be remedied. Many outspoken, former homosexuals are free today.

Instead, this is aimed precisely at every individual that in any way supports the homosexual machine that has been mercilessly gaining ground in our society since the 1960s. I cannot pity you any longer and remain inactive. You have caused far too much damage.

My banner has now been raised and war has been declared so as to defend the precious sanctity of our innocent children and youth, that you so eagerly toil, day and night, to consume. With me stand the greatest weapons that you have encountered to date - God and the "Moral Majority." Know this, we will defeat you, then heal the damage that you have caused. Modern society has become dispassionate to the cause of righteousness. Many people are so apathetic and desensitized today that they cannot even accurately define the term "morality."

The masses have dug in and continue to excuse their failure to stand against horrendous atrocities such as the aggressive propagation of homo- and bisexuality. Inexcusable justifications such as, "I'm just not sure where the truth lies," or "If they don't affect me then I don't care what they do," abound from the lips of the quantifiable majority.

Face the facts, it is affecting you. Like it or not, every professing heterosexual is have their future aggressively chopped at the roots.

Edmund Burke's observation that, "All that is required for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing," has been confirmed time and time again. From kindergarten class on, our children, your grandchildren are being strategically targeted, psychologically abused and brainwashed by homosexual and pro-homosexual educators.

Our children are being victimized by repugnant and premeditated strategies, aimed at desensitizing and eventually recruiting our young into their camps. Think about it, children as young as five and six years of age are being subjected to psychologically and physiologically damaging pro-homosexual literature and guidance in the public school system; all under the fraudulent guise of equal rights.

Your children are being warped into believing that same-sex families are acceptable; that men kissing men is appropriate.

Your teenagers are being instructed on how to perform so-called safe same gender oral and anal sex and at the same time being told that it is normal, natural and even productive. Will your child be the next victim that tests homosexuality positive?

Come on people, wake up! It's time to stand together and take whatever steps are necessary to reverse the wickedness that our lethargy has authorized to spawn. Where homosexuality flourishes, all manner of wickedness abounds.

Regardless of what you hear, the militant homosexual agenda isn't rooted in protecting homosexuals from "gay bashing." The agenda is clearly about homosexual activists that include, teachers, politicians, lawyers, Supreme Court judges, and God forbid, even so-called ministers, who are all determined to gain complete equality in our nation and even worse, our world.

Don't allow yourself to be deceived any longer. These activists are not morally upright citizens, concerned about the best interests of our society. They are perverse, self-centered and morally deprived individuals who are spreading their psychological disease into every area of our lives. Homosexual rights activists and those that defend them, are just as immoral as the pedophiles, drug dealers and pimps that plague our communities.

The homosexual agenda is not gaining ground because it is morally backed. It is gaining ground simply because you, Mr. and Mrs. Heterosexual, do nothing to stop it. It is only a matter of time before some of these morally bankrupt individuals such as those involved with NAMBLA, the North American Man/Boy Lovers Association, will achieve their goal to have sexual relations with children and assert that it is a matter of free choice and claim that we are intolerant bigots not to accept it.

If you are reading this and think that this is alarmist, then I simply ask you this: how bad do things have to become before you will get involved? It's time to start taking back what the enemy has taken from you. The safety and future of our children is at stake.

Rev Stephen Boissoin

In his letter, he inaccurately links homosexuality with child abuse and molestation, which is a proven falsehood. He makes blanket statements with out basis on the morality of individuals based on their sexual orientation, while fostering fear and violence against homosexuals. His message is that they are lurking around every corner, waiting to abuse your children, so parents you need to get them before they kidnap and rape your child. It was a blatant doctrine of hate, bigotry and violence.

The documentation of the case can be read at: http://www.albertahumanrights.ab.ca/LundDarren113007Pa.pdf

Although, Boissoin has every right to believe and say what he believes, he also must be held responsible for the harm that comes from it. His words were no different that if he has screamed fire in a crowd theatre and someone was trampled as the people rushed to escape. His words led to harm; he needed to be held responsible.

I am totally against censorship: however, I am even more opposed to people sticking their noses into other people's business uninvited. How a people chooses to live or what they believe is no one else's concern. Yet the Christians who are so quick to cry fowl and raise the Constitutionality are the same ones who violate others' civil rights. Each of us have the rights to our own beliefs and lifestyle, but each of our rights end at the tip of our nose. The space between us is neutral safety zone that should not be invaded. Christians if you want other to respect your civil rights, it is time for you to respect others’ rights.

Lebanon IN: Good Luck Ritual Leads to Sore Foot

According to many news sources, a woman in Lebanon, Indiana accidentally stabbed herself in the foot during a good luck ritual. Was it a mistake? Yes. Was it embarrassing, probably. Did it hurt? Most definitely. Was it worth a news release? Are you kidding? With the economy, the war and the elections, why should a careless mistake make news on AP, UP, NPR and other media?

Katerine Gunther was completing a gratitude ritual for her good luck in a local cemetery. She intended to drive her sword into the ground to complete the ritual; she missed the ground and found her foot. Friends took her to the local hospital, where she was treated.

“It's like all you can do is laugh at it now, all you can do when something like this happens is make the best out of it," Gunther said from her hospital room. "It wasn't the first time I performed the ritual, but it was the first time I put a sword through my foot.”

WTHR-TV of Indianapolis, IN reported that the Boone County prosecutors were reviewing evidence collected by police to determine if Katherine and her friends should face any charges in connection with the stabbing. Why? It was an accident. Gunther did it to herself. Other than snickering at the situation of the good luck ritual gone bad, why is the law involved at all? Is the bigotry on the part of the WTHR, the prosecutors or a combination of the two?

AP reported that no charges were filed, but that police warned the group that being in the cemetery after the posted hours was considered trespassing. The article further explained, “Wicca is a nature-based religion based on respect for the earth, nature and the cycle of the seasons.” A simply, yet reasonable description.

Two questions remain: Why all the coverage of a simple oops, when there is religious bigotry happening in the military as the Christians continue attempting to force their religion down others throats? Why the difference in the content between the local and national stories? Could the later be the actual story? What do you think?

Kathy Lee Gifford Bigoted Statements and Patronizing Apology: YouTube Videos

When Don Imus said racial and sexist comments on the air, he was fired. Racist liberal talk show host, Michael McGee was suspended indefinitely when he wished a local conservative talker had burned to death. Other individuals in the media, sports, and the movie and music industries performers, who made harmful and bigoted comments, were held responsible either by censure, firing or suspension. Yet when Kathy Lee Gifford said, "The Pagans. The nasty, bad Pagans believed that it was bad luck to carry metal on their right side." she received no consequences for her bigoted remarks. In addition, her apology was condescending and patronizing. It was shallow and flippant; I'm sorry for whatever I have done; she never admitted that her remarks were harmful.

For the past seven years, according to the FBI statistics, violence against non-Christians has been rising, as has the cases of discrimination in the work place, housing and the legal system. People have been fired from jobs without cause. They have been kicked out of housing. They have lost custody of their children. They have had their businesses vandalized and the police refuse to actively investigate.

Indiana Judge Cale Bradford overstepped his authority in the parents that they may not expose their 9-year-old son to their Pagan beliefs while he was officiating their divorce case. Both parents were Pagan; neither had an issue with the spiritual path.

This past winter, a Wisconsin town opened their holiday display include all faiths. When the Wiccan wreath with a pentacle in the center was destroyed, it was not allowed to be replaced. Yet the Christian display was allowed to remain.

Last Halloween a man hung a witch in effigy and called it a decoration. When his neighbor complained she was harassed and called a crackpot. Yet when empty nooses where hung in a tree, it became a national controversy.

In Mississippi, a family of four (the parents with two small children) were evicted from their home with three day notice because of they were Wiccan.

In Texas, an occult shop owner was driven out of town and followed to others with death threats; the police did nothing.

In North Carolina, a woman asked that the prayer at the opening and closing of the township board meeting be more inclusive and none specific, she was ignored. She sued and won, which ended the prayers all together due to the violation the separation between church and state. She was harassed on the street. Her home and business were vandalized. Her pets were killed, including her parakeet, who was decapitated. There was a note attached promising that she would be next. The police claimed she was doing the damage herself.

In California, a private Beltane celebration, which was held on private property, was invaded by thugs, blaring Christian music, and harassing the participates. The police arrived two hours later and did nothing.

In Michigan, a small store was vandalized. The owner’s car had the bolts loosened to the tires along with other damage. The sheriff did nothing.

Gifford’s apology never addressed the bigoted statement. She never accepted responsibility for spreading bigotry and ignorance. Her attitude was someone said I did something wrong: I don’t think so, but I’ll say I’m sorry to make it go away. It was very clear by her attitude that she was patronizing those that complained. She said the words; she didn’t mean them. In order for the Pagan and Wiccan communities to receive justice, Gifford has to suffer the same penalties as Imus and McGee. She needs to be fired or suspended. Her comments were no less harmful than theirs were.

The problem is that the Pagan/Wiccan communities can’t see beyond the difference to see that they have more in common. Herding cats is easier. These situations are allowed to continue because we can’t come together as a single political force. We are the fastest growing religion in the country, yet we have the least amount of power. It is time we start working together financially and politically. When we do, there will be real changes made. Below is contact information. I wasn’t able to find Gifford’s. Hate filled ranting letters won’t make the point. However, being calm logical and to the point will get their attention, especially if the sponsored are boycotted. Hit them in the wallet and you have their attention,

African American Women Win Nothing With Obama

African American Women Win Nothing With Obama

Father Michael Pfleger is just the newest example of how Obama judgment should be called into question. His sexist and racist comments were not taken out of context. There is no reasonable context that would justify them; the comments were hate filled not only of women but also indiscriminately of all white people. There are good and bad--wise and ignorant people in all religions, genders, and ethic backgrounds. To paint with broad strokes only reflects badly back on the speaker and has nothing to do with the subject of the discourse. Everyone sees the world through their own personal experience; our past colors the way we see the present and the future, leaving us all to see the world subjectively and in many cases unrealistically.

When I first saw Obama at the Democratic convention, I thought he was amazing. His speech showed a wise soul who wanted to be a positive force in the world. That person started the campaign; however, it has been a long time, since I saw him. He quickly changed into just another member of the good old boys club. The day after the West Virginia elections only confirmed how much he has changed. Showing up in Michigan with John Edwards was not a coincidence. It was a planned event to upstage Clinton's big win. It was their way of putting that uppity woman back in her place. Immediately, the media and the DNC jumped on Obama's bandwagon discounting both West Virginia and Kentucky’s over whelming support for Clinton and once again demanding that she concede the nomination. They continue to claim that Obama is the nominee without considering that the voters refuse to follow their lead.

While in previous elections DNC focused on the popular vote instead of the delegates, during the nomination process they have done just the opposite. The numbers have been manipulated on both sides, but none as great as those involving the popular vote. Michigan and Florida votes have been cast aside solely because of who would benefit from them. If Obama had been the beneficiary, there simply would never have been a question of those votes being included. Nor would the DNC or the media have started calling for the Obama to step aside when there was only a 26 delegate difference as the did to Clinton. Their gender bias has revealed how little respect there is for women. If the situation had been reverse, there would have been riots in the streets with claims of racial bigotry. Yet when it comes to gender, women are expected to shut up and do what they are told. How shocked they must have been when Clinton said no and to continued to fight. How dare that uppity woman!

What confuses me even more are the African American women who are Obama’s staunch supporters as if they will actually win something if he becomes President. No matter what color skin or ethic background, all women are seen the same. In 1870 15th Amendment to the Constitution granted voting rights to African American males only. African American women like all the other women didn’t get the right to make a difference until August 26, 1920 with the 19th Amendment. It took another fifty years for woman to achieve full citizenship under the constitution. So why are African American women celebrating Obama? They will gain nothing by his winning. However, since women’s glass ceiling is lower, Clinton’s winning will smash both and African American women will win twice.

Guilt by associate is not valid measuring stick in a single case. Everyone makes mistakes in their associations. It is not the individuals that need to be focused on, but the growing list of long term close associations that promote hatred, bigotry and fear among people. Pfleger is just the newest and clearest example of Obama mindset. His mocking of Clinton exposed is racism and gender hatred. It was more than a personal attack on Clinton, but an attack on women. He degraded all women without exception. Yet you see women in the congregation cheering him on. There is no all of anything when it comes to people. Whites are no more all bigots any more than African Americans are all the negative stereotypes. Any student of history will tell you that white women were just as much property of their husbands as the slave field hands. With very few exceptions, they had not rights, no voice and whatever property they did hold going into the marriage immediately became their husbands. Just because the bird lives in a pretty cage doesn’t mean it has any freedom.

Pfleger claimed that Clinton felt entitled to the nomination because she was white and President Clinton’s wife. He totally discounted her decades of service, her education and experience. She never claimed she entitled or guaranteed anything. It was the media who claimed that she was going to be the sure winner. Never once did she try to pervert the process by declaring herself the winner--unlike Obama has already done. She has worked hard both on the campaign and with her Senatorial duties. While Obama is to busy campaigning to grace the Senate with his presence, Clinton has found a way to do both. But then again most women learned how to multi-task before there was such a word.

As an individual, I will not vote for Obama. The great man I saw and would have voted for a few years ago, no longer exists. Nor will I vote for McCain. He is equally bigoted against women. I will either write in Clinton or not vote for a President.
