We are the wind of change that saves the nation

The weather over the last few days is a perfect metaphor for what has been happening in the world.  It has been unseasonably cold, windy, and rainy.   One day, we had 50-60 mile an hour gusts that did considerable damage.  A very large branch from one of my trees fell.  I was extremely lucky; it only damaged one of my rose bushes.  My neighbor wasn’t so lucky. One of his trees started coming down.  If they hadn’t immediately done a controlled removal, it would have caused considerable damage to his home.  One of the workers was nice enough to cut my branch into manageable pieces so I could move it.

Last night, it again rained.  When I woke up, it was still raining; it was so cold that I turned on the furnace; I don’t react well to cold and damp.  To say that turning on the furnace on June 18th is depressing is an understatement.   Instead of wallowing, I drank some tea and watched the Obama Presidential Center ceremony.

The Obamas again brought strength and hope to the world.  Unfortunately, the last thing I remember before I fell asleep was Bruce Springsteen singing.  Sorry, Bruce.  Nothing personal.  I love your music.   When I woke up, the wind had blown away the clouds.  The sun was out. It was warm enough to turn off the furnace and open the windows.   In just a few minutes, everything changed.

Much of life is perspective.  We have a choice.  We can focus on the clouds and the rain or we can remember that life is about change and embrace every moment, but especially when it comes to challenges.   We all have the power of choice; we don’t always like the options, yet when we take the broader view, we can make the best one.

Those who spoke at the ceremony focused on the positive—on what they wanted to create for the nation.  They refused to bring the negativity of the current administration into the spender of the day. As a side note, I suspect that ketchup will be dripping off the walls because of it.   Hey, if I didn’t say something snarky, those who know me wouldn’t think I wrote this.  Michell Obama said when they go low, we need to go high.  This is true.  But her suing over those comments also proves that we need to stand in our power and fight for what is right.   Becoming angry and frustrated is only a positive when it motivates us to be our best selves and to stand up for others, the rule of law, and Civil Rights.  When we do, we become the wind that blows away the clouds and brings back the sunshine.

Do you believe that everyday we choose between love and fear?

We are producing a TV series called Horses and Heroes. It combines Equine Therapy with Peer Support Therapy to create a unique healing experience for veterans. I am asking you to help us fund it. The proceeds from God Saw a Butterfly will be used to produce the TV series, Horses and Heroes. Combining Peer Support with Equine Therapy, Horses and Heroes will empower veterans to heal and reclaim their lives.

Shylon awakens in her egg. Alone and frightened, she cries. Mother comes to her and calms her fears. Yet, the comfort remains short lived as her fears and guilt force her to doubt herself and those who love her. Each step of the way, she is drawn closer to the truth of her soul. If she finds the patterns of her past and reclaims her ability to love, she will become an Divine messenger, who helps others ascend. If she fails, her anger and guilt will lead her to the one place God cannot go.

God Saw a Butterfly is a transformational parable, which was very loosely inspired by the saying, where a caterpillar sees death, God sees a butterfly. It is available as a Kindle and as a PDF on the website. Buying from the website makes more of the funds available for the production. Please buy a copy and recommend it to others.

Tarot Energy Reading for April 26- May 1, 2009

Tarot Energy Reading for April 26-May 1, 2009
By
Theresa Chaze

Like the turbulent spring weather, the winds of change are blowing through our lives. The week of April 26-May 1 will be a time of transformation, revolution and new beginnings. The final spring festival and the time of planting, Beltane week will be a time of fertility, creativity and prosperity. It will give many additional reasons to celebrate. Passion will ignite new hope. Those who have chosen to ride the wave of positive energy by releasing the past fear and anger will find new possibilities in themselves and for others. Being courageous doesn’t mean you don’t feel fear, but that you choose to face it and survive it.

The energy that is coming into this week is the ace of wands. This card appeared in the same position last week as does the next card. The ace of wands represents new work or way of working. It is having the courage to walk a new path and seek a new destination. As the issues of the past are dealt with and old wounds healed, our vision clears to see new people, opportunities and fresh starts. There will be many opportunities to help others find the road less traveled, not with words but with deeds as we walk the walk ourselves.

Once again the eight of pentacles represents the current week. It is a reminder that some lessons take longer to learn or accomplish; however, they are well worth the effort. Although the immediate benefits may not be clear, in 20/20 hind sight all will be understood. The challenge is to trust and allow yourself to dream your dream. Just because you don’t see the way or manor it will manifest, doesn’t mean that it will not appear in your life in the proper way or time. This week doing your best will be enough if you allow the Divine to do the rest.

The energy we take out of this week is the knight of cups. Creative and practical/spiritual and mundane will come into conflict as those who are desperately trying to prevent change will say or do what ever is necessary to keep the status quo. Faith will be tested. Karmic ties will be highlighted as some will be severed, while others will become more secure. There will be high drama as the stage continues to be set for the cosmic transition. Sharing our hope, love and blessings doesn’t diminish us or what we have; in fact, it creates more abundance on all levels.

The energy challenge we will all face is the Queen of Swords. Like Lady Justice, this card represents the karmic scales within all of us. Some will receive bills that are past due; others will receive the long over due paychecks. What each of us receives will be determined by what is in our hearts. Sharing with strings is only disguised selfishness. Giving from the heart is what creates miracles for all.

Tarot Energy Reading Week March 8-14, 2009

Energy Tarot Reading for the Week of March 8-14

There are two words that everyone needs to remember this week, faith and miracles. The former will create the later, but only when we come from the place of love. Everyone of has the opportunity every day to be a blessing to ourselves and to others. When we chose to be so, the miracles radiate out from us and expand exponentially. Small kindnesses become miracles for others that float back to us in unexpected ways. It just takes the courage to speak the truth and to let your voice be heard. The old saying--all evil needs to succeed is for good people to do nothing has been never so apparent than this week. If you think outside the box, you will find or be lead through the six degrees of what separates you from what you seek.

The energy we bring in from the past is the Queen of Swords. Strong and out spoken this is the feminine energy that has been building and waiting for the right time to be released. This applies not only to women, but the creative element within every man. This energy seeks to create the ability to alter our own reality with truth, wisdom and balance. By allowing ourselves to release the fear and anger of the past, we open the door for this energy to create new opportunities and possibilities. Sometimes we will be the receiver; sometimes, we are the ones who will deliver the blessing. Which ever role we play initially, the circumstances will rapidly turn around so that we will play the opposite role. The message of this card is to live with an open hand. Accept what is offered and release what is no longer needed. In doing so, we become the messengers of divine inspiration.

In the present is the six of swords. It is a card or release and healing. Those who choose to do the healing cleansing and releasing will find that life becomes a series of coincidence that lead to major miracles. Those who remain stuck in the past will claim only fear. Again, the image of living with an open hand. Hanging on too tightly chokes off opportunities and frightens away those who are sent to deliver miracles. However, by releasing our judgments of ourselves and others, invites what we seek to find us.

The six of wands is the energy we will take out of this week. It is a gathering of energy as we accept the challenge to have faith in ourselves and in others. A single doubt at the wrong time could delay the arrival of who and what you seek. It is time for the courage to wish upon the star and truly believe that dreams become a reality. Not all dreams will arrive in the time or manor we expect, but with this energy anything is possible for those who don’t listen to the sensible people- it’s possible. Miracles are happening every day. So Cinderella a plain yellow pumpkin can become a golden carriage. It just takes the courage to believe that someone loves us.

The energy challenge we will all face is the Queen of Pentacles. We need to keep moving forward. Everyone makes mistakes; it’s what you do afterwards that is important--learn from it, grow from it, do your best to make amends then move on. Some mistakes can’t be fixed with that particular situation; in these cases, the challenge will come around again in the future. The next time around you will be better prepared to meet it head on as long as you don’t get stuck in the guilt and fear. Guilt is the anchor that causes self-destructive behaviors and self-doubt. You can’t undo the past, but you can change the future. There is an old saying--You can’t go back and make a brand new start, but you can start from now and make a brand new end. If you remember this when depression and regret comes knocking on your door, you will find the strength to banish it from your door and life.

Shirley Jones A Miracle in Action

Miracles can happen in unexpected ways through unexpected sources. Sometimes they come in the form of singers named, Shirley Jones. When we are open to sharing blessings, we cannot only make miracles happen for ourselves but others as well. To say the Divine works in mysterious ways is a major understatement. Sometimes when we lease expect it she/he/it will intervene, allowing you to be a conduit for helping another. It will send messages and comfort through and to you. We don't always understand the reasons behind our actions, nor can we take the credit for being more than the messenger for the healing another receives.

This past summer I was part of such a blessing. A long time neighbor and recent good friend was going though life challenges that was making her heart weep. Issues from the past were being brought forth not for healing, but to manipulate and excuse personal bad behavior. There was nothing Lynne could do to change the situation but react and ride out the storm. She loved this person dearly, but realized that there was nothing she could do to change their behavior or to save her from herself. She was forced to step back and allow the events to unfold. This doesn’t mean she didn’t shed many tears, but that she loved enough to let go.
I had been planning to call and check on Lynne when I received a phone call from the director of Traverse City Opera House. I was going to work the Shirley Jones show. The director apologized about a mistake that had been made. It seems that a member of the board of directors had given away the position she reserved for me to another. It was okay. It would have been fun and a good resume entry. But I understood. Sometime things just happen. When they do, it is usually a for a good reason. In compensation, the director offered me a free ticket. I thought it was amazing and accepted.

A short while later, I called Lynne to see how she was doing. She was putting up a good front, but her heart was crying. I mentioned how I was going to the Shirley Jones show. Her reaction helped me understand why the director called when she did. Shirley Jones was someone special to Lynne and her now deceased father. During his life, they had loved her music and her movies. It was their special time together. Since his death, whenever Lynne needed comfort Shirley Jones would suddenly appeared either on the radio or on TV; it was her father’s way of telling her that he loved her and to reassure that her that he hadn’t gone far. I asked her to go with me. She politely refused, saying she really couldn’t afford the tickets. The Divine had blessed me with a little more income that month. So I lied to her and told her that it was a comp ticket--it wasn’t much of a lie. I did have one comp ticket; I just gave it to her and bought mine.

The show was magnificent. Shirley Jones must have a portrait doing her aging because she doesn’t look much older than 50, even though she claims to be much older. I think we should check her license. During the show, Lynne was reduced to tears more than once. When she sang “Memories” from Cats, I joined her. Shirley talked not only about her career but her life and loves as well. The weird thing was that after she started talking about her late husband, I kept smelling French Toast and seeing a bouquet of white roses along with one right--such a magnificent lady deserves white rose and one red for passion. But as wonderful as the show was, Shirley was even more so afterwards. She came out to sign autographs and talk to the audience. She took a few moments with anyone who came up to the table whether or not they bought anything. She was beyond gracious-even to rude people like me who to flash pictures without asking. I nudged Lynne to the front of the line. I went first. She was very nice and autographed my program--it’s in my brag book next to Katherine Hepburn’s. Lynne was next. Shirley took the time to not only listen but to pose for picture. These were authorized. Lynne was over the moon. Just meeting Shirley gave Lynne renewed strength and went a long way to heal her heart. Shirley Jones may never know what a major miracle she was in one woman’s life, but she was.

This isn’t to make myself look good, but a way of saying that when we have the courage to have faith and believe in miracles that they are created around and through us. However, the Divine doesn’t have to part the Red Sea, make the sun dance, or make summer flowers grow through the snow in the dead of winter be a miracle. Sometimes an evening listing to a delightful singer is more spectacular. My part was no bigger or lesser than the theatre’s director or the website that bought one of my articles. We all played our part to create a miracle at the Traverse City Opera House--we became the means through which Lynne’s father to reassure her. When we love unconditionally with courage, we help create the blessings of healing and new beginnings not only for ourselves but also others.
