When love is forever, death is only the beginning
Have you ever met someone and suddenly felt love or hate? Did you wonder why? What if you had forgotten the reason? Would you want to remember if it could save you life?
Elizabeth was asked by her mentor to teach a writing course at a small college. Since she never forgets a kindness, she reluctantly agrees. Arriving in town, she instantly regrets her decision. She wants to run, but she is honor bound to stay. Even as the ghost of a small child begs her to forgive, the memories of another time arouse feelings of hatred that she doesn't understand and cannot control. When she meets Shane, all of their lives are thrown onto a dangerous collision course from which they can neither run, nor can they hide. The question is, "Can they overcome their tragic past or will they be doomed to repeat it?"
Love can be a blessing or the curse that destroys a town.

Will the Curse Heal or Kill?
Sara Jane's soul was locked away until the sacrifice of another frees her to incarnate. She created a new life free of the old ties until the manipulations of another brought her back to the place where she was trapped and betrayed by the man she loved. Will she find the way to forgive them all or will she take the revenge that she was denied in the past?
Never Can Say Good-bye is a paranormal thriller, which is much like Ghost, The Others, and the original TV series Dark Shadows. We already have cast and crew attached, including Sally Kirkland, Conrad Goode, Kimberly Estrada, Bill Hayes, and Sharon Smyth Lentz as well as the amazing A-listers of the future: Lillian Lamour, John Thomassen, Niki Cipriano, and Sean Harmon.
I have been communicating with a distributor. Although she can't give us a commitment at this time, she is very interested in our progress and has repeatedly asked to be kept up to date.
Though the weekly notifications that Slated sends out I know that that last week we had 30 investors worth $96 million USD tracking Never Can Say Good-bye. Horses and Heroes has $31 million USD tracking it. I suspect they are waiting for first money in or a distribution deal. This is the reason we are willing to give an extra percentage point for the first money.
Although we can't guarantee anything financially, I can say will confidence that we will make our investors proud as well as it is very likely a good profit, To learn more about the who and what of Never Can Say Good-bye as well as watch our videos and listen to our music, please visit our website http://cproduction5.wix.com/cosmos-productions-#!page2/cjg9

Love Can Be a blessing or a curse
Much like Dark Shadows (the original), Ghost, and The Others, Never Can Say Good-bye is a ghost story about suspense, love, and betrayal. It poses the question, "If you were given a second chance, would you choose love or revenge?" Most people say love, but would you be strong enough to forgive the person who murdered your child or would you seek revenge?

Reviewer Roy Sexton read Never Can Say Good-bye's script and review it for us. His review was insightful and amazing.
Never Can Say Good-bye reinvents the reincarnation conceit (Somewhere in Time, Ellen Burstyn’s 1980 film Resurrection) in the guise of gothic paranormal psychodrama (Nicole Kidman’s 2001 film The Others, Julie Harris’ 1963 film The Haunting, Deborah Kerr’s 1961 film The Innocents). The plot concerns two families united by a doomed marriage in the 1950s and explores the dissonant legacy that familial discord has had on subsequent generations. (See the Stephen King/John Mellencamp musical Ghost Brothers of Darkland County for another take on this thematic concept.)
You can read the rest at his blog http://reelroyreviews.com/2014/07/16/we-love-a-good-ghost-story-how-about-you-never-can-say-good-bye-film-in-development-plus-slipstream-theatre-event-and-shih-tzu-res-cue/#comments
"Unexpected, clever, moving, frightening, twisted, fast paced... All words that easily describe the Script for Never Can Say Goodbye. Yet even as I write them I am not sure they do the story justice. We all love a great ghost story. Undying love, the idea that a love can be so strong as to transcend death. Or a hatred so deep it can do the same. This film touches on all of these ideas while carefully not detracting from the interesting relationships between the well thought out characters. It's ambitious and that draws you in as a performer. The role I will be playing is that of Jefferson. Jefferson is intriguing because the character both displays bravado, confidence and insecurity. Blinded by love he doesn't see what everyone else does. So in essence he is written very human. There is no need to guild the Lilly here. I think there is definitely aspects of myself in the character. I genuinely look forward to getting to know him better. It will be my honor."
John Thomassen
"Jefferson"
Some souls will stop at nothing to reclaim a lost love, including reincarnating and returning to the home that they shared together.
"I will portray Shane, Michael's new wife. Shane loves him and wants to create a good life for them. But a crazy possessed woman, who has traveled across time, wants him back. Shane doesn't know if she can stop her from taking revenge on the man she loves. It's so exciting to be able to play Shane in this film, as it is such a complex role that touches on so many human emotions like love, jealousy, narcissism, passion, anger, and nonhuman things like possession and feeling haunted.
As an actress, to have the chance to be able to explore these emotions, along with portraying someone who is possessed, and express this on film is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. It has been a dream of mine to play a role where I get to sing, and this character is a singer in a bluesy band, which involves another element of challenge as an actress to train and sing well as part of a film.
If you can contribute a little something to make this film come alive, you'll increase your good karma and help produce a quality film that you will be very proud to be associated with."
Lillian Lamour

"I've always loved ghost stories as a genre. The "Never Can Say Goodbye" screenplay came to my attention via writer and executive producer, Theresa Chaze and Cosmos Productions. The idea of an epic love story that transcends the physical boundaries of life and death - and crosses the boundaries of inter-dimensional time and space really caught my eye. I am excited to be on board and involved in the project as Director and Producer. I'm looking forward to the opportunity to bring this exciting and imaginative love story that is full of ghostly thrills and chills to life as a feature film."

Never Can Say Good-bye: The reincarnation of Ghost, The Others, and the TV series Dark Shadows
Based
on character and plot development, Never Can Say Good-bye is a low
budget, family friendly film. Unlike the current trends of big
budgets that balance on the reputations of one or two A-listers, we
have an ensemble cast of recognizable talent as well as the very
talented A-listers of the future. If you are innovative, you don't
have to spend a 100 million to make a good film. You just need to
start with a solid script and add in talented people both in front of
and behind the cameras.
Have
you ever met someone and suddenly felt love or hate? Did you wonder
why? What if you had forgotten the reason? Would you want to remember
if it could save you life?

Conrad Goode Stars in Never Can Say Good-bye
Conrad
Goode has joined the cast of the paranormal thriller, Never Can Say
Good-bye, which will be filmed in Northern Michigan the fall of 2014
and released early spring 2015. The former New York Giant and Tampa
Bay Buccaneer, Goode has appeared in 22 films and 40 national
commercials as well as in several television series and made for TV
movies.
Much
like Ghost, Always, and The Others, Never Can Say Good-bye is a
traditional ghost story with several unique twists. With the logline
"love can be a blessing or the curse that destroys a town, it
poses the question, "If you were given a second chance, would
you choose love or revenge?" Most quickly say love, but if the
revenge was on the person, who murdered your child, would the answer
be as easy?
Goode
will be breaking his type casting to star in the emotionally charged
role of Michael Scott. A Historian, author, and college professor,
Michael is man, who is very passionate about life. Though he loves
deeply, he has never loved completely. There has always been a
missing piece in every relationship that left him feeling lonely and
empty. On a soul level, he knew there was only one woman, who can
complete him. When he met Shane, she felt familiar and he thought he
found his twin flame. Yet as he comes to know the true nature of her
heart, he has to decide between rekindling love’s flame or allowing
the flames of revenge to destroy them all.
Conrad
Goode is an American actor, screenwriter, film producer, musician and
artist. He has appeared in 22 films, best known for his roles in
Don't Say A Word, Con Air, Anger Management, Me, Myself and Irene and
The Longest Yard. Conrad got his start in a Miller Lite commercial
with Joe Piscopo, which ironically has lead to a career of working
with numerous SNL alums, including Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, Tracy
Morgan, Chris Farely and others. Conrad has appeared in a dozen T.V.
shows and notably Saturday Night Live, plus reoccurring on One Tree
Hill season four.
Conrad
has appeared in 40 national commercials, one being the famous Nike
Bugs Bunny/Michael Jordan commercial where he was the first human to
touch the animated Bugs. Conrad most recently wrote, produced and
stared along with Laura Bell Bundy and Bailee Madison in the film
Watercolor Postcards in 2013.
Conrad
is lead singer/songwriter/guitarist in the band The Chariot Waltz, a
published poet, and a painter. A former professional football player
for the New York Giants and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Conrad was an UPI,
Football News 1st team All American, offensive lineman in 1983 out of
the University of Missouri. He was inducted into the University of
Missouri Sports Hall of Fame in 2007.
Additionally,
Never Can Say Good-bye's cast will also include: Kimberly Estrada,
Bill Hayes, Lillian Lamour, and John Thomassen. Lauren Holly and
Ellen Burstyn are
also being considered for roles. Never Can Say Good-bye will be
directed by Stanley Livingston. It was written by award winning
screenwriter and author, Theresa Chaze. Michigan based Producer, Pam
Wenzel, will be coordinating the logistical challenges of the cast
and crew. It will be filmed in the northwest part of Michigan.

Following the Tradion of The Others, The Haunting, The Ghost Brothers of Darkland County...

My my downright caustic review of the latest Transformers installment caught the attention of Traverse City-based independent filmmaker Theresa Chaze (click here for her website). She is also a published author, experienced video producer, and accomplished communications professional, and she is hard at work launching her new film Never Can Say Good-bye (IMDB page). I was honored when she asked if I would read her script and offer my thoughts.
(And the animal lover in me adores this part of her impressive bio: “As the media specialist for Angel Protectors of Animals and Wildlife, she produced several public service announcements and micro-documentaries. The messages remained informative and promoted positive action to save our nation’s wildlife.” Yes! Another of her potential projects is a TV show about equine therapy for veterans – Horses and Heroes.)
I finished reading the script earlier this week. It is so well done and layered and clever. I love the notion of turning a ghost story on its head through the lens of reincarnation. I thought the characters were all clearly and thoughtfully drawn, and the script is definitely a page turner in the best sense. The disparate threads cohere in a denouement that is both chilling and poignant. The dialogue is believable, and the insular college-town setting (somewhere in northern Michigan, I believe) lends a nice chilly, hierarchical vibe.
Different actors are reported to have been attached at various points, including Lauren Holly, Bill Hayes, and Dyan Cannon. Stanley Livingston is connected to direct. Obviously, “name” performers would bring added attention to the project, but I daresay a cast of unknowns would keep audience attention focused on the narrative and the dense web of challenging relationships therein.
And, as in seemingly all creative efforts these days, there is a crowd-source funding campaign afoot through Indiegogo – you can donate here. From the campaign’s page …
We love a good ghost story. How about
you? We are not talking about films that gross out the audience or are
so dependent of special effects that the producers forgot to give the
characters personalities or have plots that are based on clichés or
simply don’t make any sense. Much like Dark Shadows, Never Can Say
Good-bye is based on suspense and plot twists that will scare the socks
off the audience and make them suspicious of the dust bunnies under
their beds.
Best of luck, Theresa – hope this script makes it to the silver screen soon – it’s a keeper!

The Eternal Romance of Twin Flames
Have you ever met someone and suddenly felt love or hate? Did you wonder why? What if you had forgotten the reason? Would you want to remember? Would you want to know?
Using as the excuse researching for his new book, Michael visits his friend Lynne in Coyote Springs. In his conscious mind, he wants to rekindle their romantic relationship. Instead, he fixates on the dead lumber baron, Randolph Bellows and his family.
Michael meets Bellows' granddaughter Shane Bellows. Nearly half his age, Shane arouses passion within him. He believes they are soul mates. His best friend Lynne knows better. Michael doesn’t love Shane any more than he loved her. Lynne knows there has been one woman who has always had his heart. Just because he has yet to meet her, doesn’t mean she doesn’t exist. Against her advice and that of others, Michael and Shane marry.
The town is shocked when the owner of the Bellows Mansion offers to allows the couple to move into the old house. Michael is ecstatic. Growing up, Shane heard how the ghost of her grandfather’s first wife tormented his second family until they were forced to flee for their safety. The house had been sold to Amanda Ramsdell just to be rid of the ghost’s curse. Although Sane fears the house, she loves Michael more and reluctantly agrees to live there.
Michael’s obsession deepens. It’s all he can think and dream about. He knows there is more to it than can be seen. He searches old records and finds Sara Jane's bedroom.. Taking the panel off the wall does more than reveal the hidden room. Turning the knob, he opens the door to the past. Crossing the threshold starts him down a path, which could once again lead to obsessive love, betrayal, and murder.
In spite of her reservations, Elizabeth agrees to teach a writing course at a small college. Her instinct tells her to run in the opposite direction, but she never forgets a kindness. Arriving in town, she instantly regrets her decision. But as much as she wants to run, the town draws her in, awakening old memories of passion, anger and fear. By the time she realizes what is happening, it is too late to run. The doors of her past are opened and memories overwhelm her.
Love, guilt and betrayal intertwine forming a kaleidoscope of memories as the past and present abruptly collide. Can they remember the love and learn from the past before they once again turn down the path of murder and revenge?
Never Can Say Good-bye is a paranormal romance with the logline love and hate survives death. It is a new film, which is based on the old fashioned idea that character and plot appeal more to the audiences than sex, violence and special effects. . Never Can Say Good-bye is family friendly film, which gives the audience what it wants. It has the right message at the right time and fills a void that has been created by the endless sequels and remakes.
